The Universidade do Algarve is organizing the third edition of the Ocean Technology Summer School, to take place from 13 to 17 June 2016.
Building upon the experience of the OT2014 and OT2015 summer schools the current Ocean Technology Summer School is designed to provide an integrated view of theoretical, numerical and experimental tools related to different areas and applications of ocean technology, such as instrumentation, observation techniques, modelling of coastal processes, underwater sound propagation, signal processing, bottom mapping and robotics. The school includes, as a fundamental component, a one day hands-on at sea.
Who can attend?
The summer school is particularly suitable for professionals, foreigner and national students, in areas of engineering and applied sciences, who are interested in gaining a broadband knowledge of different aspects of ocean technology. Participants will benefit from such knowledge, which is expected to provide a solid basis for the engagement in scientific research or industry-related activities.Registration is open from 1 – 29 February, the number of attendees is limited to 20.
